ARC Positions
NASA has established position requirements and will purchase specific hours of each position based on need. If incumbent candidates are below the minimum, NASA may grant a waiver. Having greater capabilities, education, and experience does not guarantee a step to the next level unless NASA has approved the position.
• Lead Technical Editor – Bachelor’s Degree or higher in English or related subject area, 4 years’ experience in performing similar responsibilities as a Lead Technical Editor, Acquire and maintain a SECRET clearance
• Technical Editor - Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English or Language Arts subject area, 4 years recent service may be substituted for education, one year experience in performing as a technical editor. Be able to acquire and maintain a SECRET clearance
upon request
• Reproduction Operator – 1 year of experience working with specialized reproduction
equipment
• Auditor – Successful completion of AS9100 Aerospace Auditor Transition Training.
Bachelor’s Degree with a major study of quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint. Absent a degree, at least four years’ experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality
assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas. Examples include:
o Reviewing production activities and capabilities considering contract quality requirements.
o Reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including
sampling plans.
o Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system.
o Verifying by test or inspection, using sampling inspection or intensive product inspection techniques, that products comply with requirements prior to acceptance.
o Identifying inadequacies and requesting corrective action.
o Computing data, summarizing results, and preparing reports or charts depicting pertinent relationships using statistical methods.
o Investigating customer complaints and deficiency reports and providing
identification of causes to appropriate authorities.
o Reading, interpreting, and applying technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, or technical manuals.
o Reviewing and evaluating supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections.
• Directives and Documentation Editor – Bachelor’s Degree in any field, with at least 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical, or social science field(s), and at least one course above the introductory level in the field(s) covered by the position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point), and SharePoint.
Absent a degree, at least four years’ experience as a writer or editor of technical reports, articles, manuals, or specifications that requires substantial subject-matter or technical knowledge. This experience must demonstrate the ability to acquire and present technical information through independent reading, interviews with subject-matter specialists, observation of tests and experiments, interpretation of blueprints or diagrams, or other appropriate methods.
• Special Projects, Studies, and Reports Specialist – Bachelor’s Degree in any field with at least 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical, or social science field(s), and at least one course above the introductory level in the field(s) covered by the position. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point), and SharePoint. Absent a degree, at least 4 years’ experience as a writer or editor of technical

• Administrative Support Specialist I – At least one-year of work experience in a general office environment. General proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. General proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Administrative Support Specialist II – At least three years’ work experience in a general office environment. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Intermediate proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Administrative Support Specialist III – At least five years’ work experience in a general office environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook,Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat. Some positions may require a SECRET security clearance.
• Business Systems Coordinator I – At least one-year of work experience in a general office environment. General proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. General proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe
Acrobat. At least one-year experience using specialized business systems or software programs, such as (but not limited to) SAP, JIRA, Windchill Confluence, SmartSheet,
Business Objects (BOBJ), etc.
• Business Systems Coordinator II – At least three years’ work experience in a general office environment. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Intermediate proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat. At least three years’ experience using specialized business systems or software programs, such as (but not limited to) SAP, JIRA, Windchill Confluence,
SmartSheet, Business Objects (BOBJ), etc. Some positions may require a SECRET
security clearance.

• Junior Program Analyst - At least seven years’ work experience in a general office environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat and/or specialized business systems experience. Specialist in complex technical and business matters, including the ability to analyze and interpret data and develop and interpret reporting metrics.
• Program Analyst - At least seven years’ work experience in a general office environment.
Education may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Teams. Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat. Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat and/or specialized business systems experience.
Specialist in complex technical and business matters, including the ability to analyze and interpret data and develop and interpret reporting metrics.
